The Board of Directors of Shumba Energy Ltd (the “Company” and/or “Shumba” and/or “Group”) wish to provide the following guidance to their shareholders.
WITHDRAWAL OF CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING DELISTING FROM THE DEVELOPMENT AND ENTERPRISE MARKET OF THE STOCK EXCHANGE OF MAURITIUS LTD. (“DELISTING”)
Following the Delisting on 28 August 2017 Shumba shareholders are advised that caution is no longer required when dealing in the Company’s securities.
ISSUANCE OF CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING RESULTS FOR THE FINANCIAL YEAR ENDED 30 JUNE 2017
In line with the previous cautionary announcement regarding the third quarter results issued in May 2017, Shumba shareholders are advised that the audited financial results of Shumba for the year ended 30 June 2017 will show a material improvement over that for the comparable year.
This is mainly attributable to unrealised exchange gains resulting from strength in the Botswana Pula against the Group’s reporting currency of United States Dollars.
Shareholders are accordingly advised to exercise caution when dealing in the Company’s securities until such time as the audited results of the Group are released, which is expected to be no later than 29 September 2017.
