The Board of Directors of Shumba Energy Ltd (the “Company”) is pleased to announce to Company’s shareholders (“Shareholders”) and the public, in general, the results of the Special Meeting of Shareholders held on 27 July 2017.
Further to the issuance of the Circular to Shareholders dated 22 June 2017, the following resolutions were approved by the requisite majority of Shareholders at the Special Meeting:
- a) Special Resolution approving the cancellation of admission of the Company from the Development & Enterprise Market (“DEM”) of The Stock Exchange of Mauritius Ltd.
- b) Ordinary resolution authorising the Directors to take such steps and sign all such other documents as are necessary to give effect to the special resolution passed at the Special Meeting.
It is expected that the Company will be withdrawn from the DEM as from market close of 28 August 2017, subject to all relevant regulatory approval being obtained.
The Shareholders and the public, in general, are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the shares of the Company.
